My Little Life...
Initially, during the holidays, when my little boy was a little bit littler than now, he would ask where I came from, and I would tell him the Candy Cane Forest. He would laugh, and I would too, only secretly, I was really hoping that if I said it enough, it would be true. I thought it sounded more interesting than Cleveland, Ohio.
Now, he knows the truth, because he knows our address, but every Christmas, I still stick candy canes in the snow that are bigger than life, all the way up our walkway, and pretend, for one small month out of the year, that I am from somewhere magical and fun; a land filled with everything that is youthful and bright. And striped. I am still lucky enough to visit places that are magical and fun when I am working on projects, so I guess I get to live in that world a little more than most.
I am a one-lady gig, and my happy little office is out of my house. From there come all the creative things you see here and of course, many more you don't see that get passed along to my custom work clients. And the work varies greatly - as greatly as my past, which, without that, I wouldn't be here.
Currently, I work as a job coach for people with developmental disabilities during the day, which was something I did before I had my son, and which I am now doing again, full-time, as of September of 2011. I have been drawing, painting, and writing since I can remember, and while at times it is difficult to juggle full-time work, home life, and this business, I love it, and will always love it.
My passion is meaning and appreciation for the people and the world around us. I love to help people, I love to make art, I love nature, and I want to positively contribute to the world in the most creative ways I can. We are all different, and have our own unique gifts to make this world better. We are happiest when we are using those gifts, which in turn, makes those around you happier too. I hope my work inspires you to discover the beauty in nature, the world, the people around you, and in yourself.
Thanks for visiting!
